J~ 6 R 9 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 8 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC <br />TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GRADE <br />CROSSING IN THE VICINITY OF BLOMQUIST STREET (STAUFFER) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City wishes to have a grade <br /> <br />crossing constructed in the vicinity of Blomquist Street (Stauffer); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company is willing <br /> <br />to have such grade crossing constructed at such location providing <br /> <br />the City will pay for the cost of such construction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement has been presented to this Council <br /> <br />between the City and Southern Pacific Transportation Company for <br /> <br />the construction of such grade crossing and this Council desires <br /> <br />to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That that certain agreement by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and Southern Pacific Transportation Company, in the <br /> <br />form of "Exhibit A," attached hereto, is hereby approved, and the <br /> <br />Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement, <br /> <br />with attestation by the City Clerk, for and on behalf of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8689 <br />
