AND TARGET EDUCATION <br />AND WELFARE COUNCIL, INC. FOR HANDI-PERSON PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. (TEWCI), <br /> <br />which is presently engaged in the operation of Senior Citizen <br /> <br />Center Programs at the Fair Oaks Senior Citizen Center, desires <br /> <br />to conduct a Handi-Person Program that will provide minor home <br /> <br />repairs to selected residences in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TEWCI has requested financial assistance in order <br /> <br />to conduct such a program for residents of the City who comply with <br /> <br />income level requirements, during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br /> <br />1980, and ending June 30, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to allocate to the San Mateo County Economic Opportunity <br /> <br />Commission, Inc. for use by TEWCI the sum of Twenty Thousand and <br /> <br />No/IOO Dollars ($20,000.00) from its Community Development Block <br /> <br />Grant funds, in addition to any unexpended balance from the alloga- <br /> <br />tion by the City to TEWCI made during the fiscal year of July 1, <br /> <br />1979 to June 30, 1980; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval <br /> <br />an agreement between the City of Redwood City, the San Mateo County <br /> <br />Economic Opportunity Commission, Inc. and TEWCI, and it is the in- <br /> <br />tention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 10/15/80), by and between <br />
