<br /><f'o <br /> <br />SWC:yc:12/4/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8754 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />DEe 8 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED PROPERTY <br />SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of certain <br /> <br />property hereinafter described; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council received evidence that the hereinafter <br /> <br />described property is not needed for present or prospective <br /> <br />municipal or public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />has determined that the current reasonable market value of each <br /> <br />item is less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare said property surplus and authorize its sale in accordance <br /> <br />with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds that the hereinafter described <br /> <br />City-owned property is not now needed for any municipal or public <br /> <br />purpose and will not be needed for any municipal or public purposes <br /> <br />in the future, and hereby declares said property to be surplus <br /> <br />property. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />advertise the hereinafter described surplus property for sale by <br /> <br />public auction to the general public in accordance with Section 3-1/2 <br /> <br />of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. Said sale shall be <br /> <br />conducted in accordance with the following terms: <br /> <br />(a) A public auction shall be conducted at the place, and <br />on the date and time fixed by the City Clerk and set <br />out in the notice of sale therefor. Said auction shall <br />be conducted for the purpose of receiving bids on the <br />subject property. <br /> <br />8754 <br />
