<br />CGH:mf 12/11/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8764 <br /> <br />ORIGJfJAL <br />DEe 1 5 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF CUTTER-SUCTION DREDGE; <br />AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8706, adopted October 6, <br /> <br />1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the sale by City of a <br /> <br />cutter-suction dredge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the purchase from the City of said <br /> <br />equipment, and California Dredging Company, Martinez, California, <br /> <br />is the highest responsible bidder for the purchase of said <br /> <br />equipment from City, and it is the intention of this Council <br /> <br />to sell said equipment to California Dredging Company; <br /> <br />NO~l, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLO~vS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of California Dredging Company in the total <br /> <br />amount of Forty-eight Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($48,000.00), <br /> <br />for the purchase of the cutter-suction dredge in accordance with <br /> <br />the bidder's proposal dated December 5, 1980, and in accordance <br /> <br />with the specifications therfore on file in the office of the <br /> <br />City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br /> <br />and declared to be the highest responsible bidder for the <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment from City. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />return to all unsuccessful bidders, and to the unsuccessful <br /> <br />bidder, upon payment of the above amount to City, all security <br /> <br />guaranteeing payment of the purchase price by a bidder. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8764 <br />
