<br />.... <br /> <br />.." <br /> <br />. <br />, <br /> <br />CGM:mf 2/5,/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8794 <br /> <br />ORIGiNAL <br />FEB 2 3 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION <br />OF CERTAIN TERRITORY IN THE VICINITY OF ALAMEDA <br />DE LAS PULGAS, JAMES AVENUE, UPTON STREET, AND <br />HARDING AVENUE TO CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings for the annexation of certain <br /> <br />territory (Kensington Square) were commenced by the Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors of the County of San Mateo and have been completed <br /> <br />by the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo (LAFCO); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LAFCO has assigned the distinctive short-form <br /> <br />designation of "Annexation of Kensington Square to the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City (13:t acres)" to the territory to be annexed to the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and a description of the territory to be <br /> <br />annexed is contained on "Exhibit A", attached hereto, and <br /> <br />incorporated herein, as if set forth herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the LAFCO has determined that the territory to be <br /> <br />annexed is inhabited territory and that the reasons for such <br /> <br />proposed annexation are the territory is substantially surrounded <br /> <br />by the City of Redwood City and is already substantially <br /> <br />developed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That Monday, the 6th day of April, 1981, at the hour of <br /> <br />7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, <br /> <br />401 Marshall Street, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed as <br /> <br />the time and place where a hearing will be conducted on the proposed <br /> <br />annexation whose distinctive short-form designation has been <br /> <br />determined to be the aforementioned "Annexation of Kensington Square <br />to the City of Redwood City (13:t acres)." <br /> <br />2. That any owner of land within the abovementioned territory <br /> <br />proposed to be annexed to the City of Redwood City or any registered <br /> <br />8794 <br />
