<br />,f <br /> <br />CGN:wb 3/5/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI ON <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8817 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAR 1 6 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE REPOWERING <br />OF SNORKEL FIRE TRUCK; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE FURNISHING THEREOF; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8781, adopted January 26, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the repowering of a <br /> <br />snorkel fire truck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the repowering of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, General Truck Sales GMC, Inc., Stockton, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder for the repowering of said equip- <br /> <br />ment, and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid <br /> <br />to General Truck Sales, GMC, Inc. and to waive any informality in <br /> <br />the bid of the above mentioned bidder for the repowering of said <br /> <br />equipment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOW"S: <br /> <br />1. The bid of General Truck Sales GNC, Inc., in the total <br /> <br />lump sum amount of Forty-two Thousand Four Hundred Ten and 99/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($42,4l0.99) for the repowering of a snorkel fire truck <br /> <br />in accordance with the bidder's proposal, and in accordance with <br /> <br />the specifications therefor on file in the office of the city <br /> <br />Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the repowering <br /> <br />of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. Any informalities in the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof are waived. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with General Truck Sales GMC, Inc. for the repowering <br /> <br />8 81 7 <br />
