<br />,.. ~ <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />SWC:mf 6/26/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.8887 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 6 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY-SAN MATEO <br />COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, RELATING TO THE GENERAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF LOCAL INDUSTRY AND <br />COMMERCE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of <br /> <br />Commerce has requested the City of Redwood City to provide <br /> <br />certain monies during the fiscal year July 1,1981 - June 30, <br /> <br />1982, for the maintenance and improvement of the economy of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City by the general development and <br /> <br />promotion of local industry and commerce, in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> <br />to authorize the execution of an agreement by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City - San Mateo County <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce providing for a payment of Twenty Thousand <br /> <br />and No/IOO Dollars ($20,000.00) to the San Mateo County Chamber <br /> <br />of Commerce by the City of Redwood City for such above stated <br /> <br />purposes for the fiscal year July 1, 1981 - June 30, 1982; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 6/20/81), by and <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City - San <br /> <br />Mateo County Chambe~ of Commerce relating to the general <br /> <br />development and promotion of local industry and commerce in <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City, a copy of which agreement is presently <br /> <br />on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference <br /> <br />is hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and <br /> <br />conditions thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br /> <br />is hereby authorized to execute the same on behalf of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8887 <br />
