<br />CGM:djg-c 7/8/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 8 91 3 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 2 0 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR ROOFING REPAIRS TO THE <br />FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING; REJECTING ALL <br />OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREE- <br />MENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8869, adopted June 8, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for roofing repairs to the <br /> <br />Fair Oaks Community Center Building in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fidelity Roof Company, Oakland, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to said Fidelity Roof Company. <br /> <br />NOH, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Fidelity Roof Company in the amount of Forty- <br /> <br />One Thousand Five and No/IOO Dollars ($41,005.00), computed in <br /> <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated June 30, 1981, for roofing <br />repairs to the Fair Oaks Community Center Building according to <br />those certain bid documents entitled "Special provisions for the <br /> <br />Construction of Redwood City's Fair Oaks Community Center Roof <br /> <br />Restoration 1980-81- Redwood City, California," is hereby accepted <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> <br />into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />agreement entitled "Agreement" by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />8913 <br />
