<br />f <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />DES:mf 8/5/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 8 93 3 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 1 0 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF FIm~ ORDERS <br />FOR PLANNED :':EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM, SUBJECT <br />TO PROVISION FOR FUNDING THEREOF <br />("911" System) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the comrnrnunications division of the Department <br /> <br />of General Services of the State of California has, pursuant to <br /> <br />the provisions of Government Code Section 53115 approved this <br /> <br />City's final plan for an emergency telephone system ("911" <br /> <br />System); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, further pursuant to said code section, this <br /> <br />Council desires to authorize the submittal of firm orders to <br /> <br />the utility providing telephone service to the City for the <br /> <br />acquisition, construction and installation of said emergency <br /> <br />telephone system as described in the City's final plan therefor, <br />and subject to provision for funding thereof; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLO~vS: <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized, for and on behalf of <br /> <br />the City of Redwodd City, to place firm orders for the acquisition, <br /> <br />construction and installation of the planned emergency telephone <br /> <br />system ("911" system) as described in the final approved plan <br /> <br />therefor, on file in the office of the City Manager, to which plan <br /> <br />reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, and <br /> <br />including the selective routing feature and automatic number <br /> <br />identification feature; provided that implementation of said <br /> <br />plan shall be limited to the extent funds are made available <br /> <br />therefore by the State of California pursuant to said plan, or <br /> <br />as otherwise may be provided. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />893 :3 <br />
