<br />C ": djg-c <br />CGM:djg-c <br /> <br />9/24/81 <br />10/1/81 R <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />SEP 2 8 7981 <br /> <br />8974 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTION OF PUBLIC STREET <br />(HAZEL STREET) IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; <br />SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED <br />IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND ORDERING <br />POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of Hazel Street in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />heretofore dedicated as public street, is not needed for present or <br /> <br />prospective street purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to <br /> <br />vacate said portion of Hazel Street pursuant to the provisions of <br /> <br />Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate <br /> <br />a portion of Hazel Street, as hereinafter described, and elects <br /> <br />to proceed with such vacation pursuant to the provisions of Part <br /> <br />3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />2. The portion of Hazel Street to be vacated is as indicated <br /> <br />on the plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, entitled <br /> <br />"Land Relinquishment," marked "Exhibit A", and is more particularly <br /> <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />A portion of Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block Lettered "L" as <br />designated on the map entitled "MAP OF BOYD AND KENT'S <br />ADDITION REDWOOD CITY, CAL.", which map was filed in the <br />office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo on <br />June 12, 1905, in Book "D" of Maps at Page 10 and a <br />copy entered in Book 3 of Maps at Page 66, described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of Lot 1, Block "L", <br />as said lot and block are shown on said map, said corner <br />also being a point where the northwesterly line of Hazel <br />Avenue (50 feet in width, as shown on said map), intersects <br />the southwesterly line of Madrone Street, (formerly Maple <br />Street, 45 feet in width as shown on said map); THENCE <br />westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 1, North <br />5P48'15" West, a distance of 10.04 feet to a point on <br />the southeasterly line of that parcel of land conveyed <br />to Ernest H. Canete and Edith Canete by Deed recorded <br />September 5, 1972, in Volu,me 6224 of Official Records of <br />San Mateo County at page 505; THENCE southerly-along said <br />southeasterly line, South 330 05 '44" West, a distance Of8 974 <br />
