<br />CG._.djg-c 2/12/82 <br /> <br />9059 <br /> <br />OR1GINAL <br />FEB 22 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTIon TO VACATE PUBLIC SERVICE EASE~1ENT <br />(~ffiRINE WORLD PARKWAY) IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF <br />DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA; SETTING TIHE AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS <br />INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND <br />ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public service easement in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, heretofore dedicated over a portion of Marine World Parkway, <br /> <br />is not needed for present or prospective public service purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood city intends to <br /> <br />vacate said public service easement pursuant to the provisions of <br /> <br />Part 3 of Division 9 (commencing with Section 8300) of the Streets <br /> <br />and Highways Code; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI~Y OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate <br /> <br />a public service easement on a portion of Marine World Parkway, as <br /> <br />hereinafter described, and elects to proceed with such vacation <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 (commencing <br /> <br />with Section 8300) of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />2. The public service easement to be vacated is as indicated <br /> <br />on the plat attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, <br /> <br />entitled "Proposed Abandonment of U.P.U.E., Lot 1, Marina Park Unit <br /> <br />No.2, Redwood City, California" marked "Exhibit A", and is more <br /> <br />particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />An area for the abandonment of an underground public utility <br />easement, being over a portion of Lot l (Marina Drive), as <br />said Lot and Drive are shown on that certain map entitled <br />"MARINA Pl'~RK UNIT NO.2", filed for record on August 14, 1978 <br />in Volume 97 of Maps at Pages 89 and 90, San Mateo County <br />Records; said area of abandonment being more particularly <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point on the southeasterly line of Lot 9 as <br />said Lot is shown on the above mentioned map of Marina Park <br /> <br />9 05 ~ <br />
