Q.---9-11LI <br />- " <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />(COMMUNI'I'Y DEVELOPMENT BI..Ca< GRANT) AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL IXX:1JMENTS PERI'AINING THERETO <br />(FISCAL YEAR 1982-83) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Corrmunity Development Block Grant Program authorized <br /> <br />pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Canmmity Developnent Act of <br /> <br />1974, as enacted by the Congress of the United States (Pub. Law 93-383) , <br /> <br />provides for the issuance of grants in order to attain t.lIe objective of <br /> <br />the developnent of viable urban ccmnuni ties, by providing decent housing <br /> <br />and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, <br /> <br />principally for persons of low or noderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, <br /> <br />an application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban <br /> <br />Development for a Corrmmity Development Block Grant in the arrount of <br /> <br />Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Tho Hurrlred Ninety-one and No/IOO Ibllars <br /> <br />($570,291.00) for the period of July 1, 1982, through June 30, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Director a Notice <br /> <br />of Detennination, determing that the proposed Comnunity Development Block <br /> <br />Grant Program, as set forth in the aforesaid application, is exempt from <br /> <br />the requirements of NEPA and CEQA as a ministerial project am does not <br /> <br />have a significant effect on the environment, and a notice of such <br /> <br />detennination filed with the County Clerk of San ~1ateo County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this COUncil desires to approve the aforementioned application <br /> <br />for a Community Development Block Grant and to authorize the execution of <br /> <br />all documents pertaining thereto, including all understandings and assurances <br /> <br />connected therewith: <br /> <br />NG'J, TfillREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REIWX)D CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLI.aVS: <br /> <br />9101 <br />
