<br />CGM:mf 6/16/82 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN 2 1 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 9 14 2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />ROOFING AT COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES BUILDING; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREE~rnNT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9117, adopted May 17, <br /> <br />1982, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />roofing at the Community Activities Building in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Associated Roofing & Insulation, Redwood City, <br /> <br />Calijornia, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention <br /> <br />and desire of this Council to award said bid to said Associated <br /> <br />Roofing & Insulation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Associated Roofing & Insulation in the total <br /> <br />amount of Thirty-seven Thousand Two Hundred and No/lOa Dollars <br /> <br />($37,200.00), computed in accordance with the bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated June 8, 1982, for the construction of roofing at the <br /> <br />Community Activities Building according to those special provisions <br /> <br />entitled "Special Provisions for the Construction of Redwood City's <br /> <br />Community Activity Building - Roof Removal and Replacement - <br /> <br />Redwood City, California," (including plans and standard specifications <br /> <br />referenced therein) is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> <br />work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in Paragraph <br /> <br />1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />9142 <br />
