DES:d~u 04/29/96 (073/32) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 5/13/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12754 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER THE LEVY OF BENEFIT <br /> ASSESSMENTS USING THE ALTERNATIVE METHOD, APPROVING <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT, AND PROVIDING NOTICE OF HEARING <br /> THEREON - SEAPORT BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE <br /> DISTRICT <br /> <br /> (FISCAL YEARS 1996-97 AND 1997-98) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1895, <br />adopted by this Council on April 16, 1984, and the applicable <br />provisions of Chapter 26, Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code of the State of California, said Council did, on <br />July 27, 1987 adopt its Resolution No. 10560, entitled "A <br />Resolution Overruling Protests, Ordering the Formation of Seaport <br />Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District and Ordering That the <br />Alternative Method for the Levy of Benefit Assessments Be Made <br />Applicable Thereto"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by said resolution did order the <br />formation of said Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance <br />District (the "District") and did order that the amount necessary <br />to pay the costs and expenses of the maintenance and operation of <br />the public improvements therein described be raised by an annual <br />special benefit assessment apportioned according to the benefits <br />among the several lots or parcels of property within the District <br />in accordance with the formula therefor more particularly set <br />forth in said resolution and in accordance with and pursuant to <br />the provisions for the alternative method for the levy of benefit <br />assessments in maintenance districts in the City of Redwood City <br />as provided in Ordinance No. 1895; and <br /> <br /> <br />
