Huesties, having well and ably <br /> <br />served the City of Redwood City for over 33 years, is retiring <br /> <br />on December 31, 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tom began his career with the City in 1949 as <br /> <br />as Foreman I, and worked his way up through the ranks of <br /> <br />Foreman II, Street and Sewer General Foreman, and finally to <br /> <br />Street and Sewer General Supervisor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because maintenance of streets and sewers is not <br /> <br />solely an eight-to-five job, Tom has spent many extra hours over <br /> <br />the years taking care of unplanned emergencies in order to <br /> <br />keep the city functioning smoothly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a supervisor, Tom will be remembered for the <br /> <br />loyalty he has shown his employees, many of whom have become <br /> <br />his personal friends; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council does hereby commend Thomas S.
