L: I (~/i <br /> <br />MAR 2 1 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING ALFRED <br />M. CAIN ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Alfred M. Cain, having well and ably served the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City for 17 years, is retiring on March 3, 1983; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in his position as Civil Engineer III for the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works, Al has been a dedicated public <br /> <br />servant, a friend, and confidant to his fellow employees; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, over the years, Al has worked extensively with <br /> <br />both the public and many engineering and building contractors <br /> <br />in order that the City's interest has been well protected; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because of his ready wit, keen mind, and <br /> <br />extraordinary narrative ability, Al will be missed by those <br /> <br />who have worked with him over the years; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOVlS: <br /> <br />This Council does hereby commend Alfred M.
