<br />SWC:rb 8/01/83 <br /> <br />9417 <br /> <br />AUG 8 1983 <br />ORiGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO HOOVER <br />SCHOOL PARK AND POOL; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9378, adopted June 20, <br /> <br />1983, the City Clerk called for bids for improvements to the <br /> <br />Hoover School Park and swimming pool in the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Palo Alto Landscaping Co. Inc., Los Altos, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said <br /> <br />Palo Alto Landscaping Co. Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Palo Alto Landscaping Co., Inc. in the total <br /> <br />amount of Seven Hundred Eleven Thousand Four Hundred Ninety and <br /> <br />No/I00 Dollars ($711,490), computed in accordance with the <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated July 19, 1983, for improvements to Hoover <br /> <br />School Park and swimming pool, according to those certain <br /> <br />specifications entitled "Landscape Construction and Planting - <br /> <br />Hoover School Park and Hoover Pool Replastering and Refinishing - <br /> <br />Redwood City, California" (including plans and standard <br /> <br />9417 <br />
