<br />JR:IO/12/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9460 <br /> <br />ORmlNAL <br />OCT 1 7 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MONTHLY CHARGES FOR THE MAKING OF <br />SANITARY INSPECTIONS AND FOR THE COLLECTION AND REMOVAL OF <br />REFUSE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has advised this Council that <br /> <br />the charges for sanitary inspection and refuse collection services in <br /> <br />this City be amended to reflect the increase in costs incident in <br /> <br />proviaing such services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to increase the charges for <br /> <br />sanitary inspection and refuse collection services; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The schedule of charges for sanitary inspection and refuse <br /> <br />collection services shall be basea upon the type and size of the <br /> <br />receptacle in which the refuse is deposited (except for mechanically <br /> <br />compactea refuse) and the frequency of service as follows: <br /> <br />(a) For weekly collection from receptacles not emptied by <br /> <br />mechanical means: <br /> <br />Capacity of <br />Receptacles <br />In Gallons <br /> <br />- 20 <br /> <br />21 - 40 <br /> <br />41 - 60 <br /> <br />------------------------- <br /> <br />Monthly Rate <br />for each <br />Receptacle <br /> <br />$ 4.54 <br /> <br />5.91 <br /> <br />7.21 <br /> <br />------------------------- <br /> <br />-------------------------- <br /> <br />The charge for colLections from each container, the capacity of <br />which exceeds sixty (60) gallons, shall be seven dollars and twenty- <br />one cents ($7.21) plus an amount equal to nine and eight-tenths cents <br />(9.8) times the number of gallons of such receptacle in excess of <br />SIxty (60). <br /> <br />9460 <br />
