'N 1\ L <br />If\i\.:li It.; <br /> <br />NOV 2 ~ 1985 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 1 0 3 7 6 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LADDER TRUCK THROUGH THE <br />CITY OF POMONA; AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE OF SAID EQUIPMENT, AND FOR LEASE <br />PURCHASE FINANCING THEREOF, AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE; AND <br />RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 10146 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to purchase a 100 <br /> <br />ft. tractor-trailer type aerial ladder truck for maneuverability <br /> <br />through the narrow streets wi thin new planned developments in <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10146, adopted February <br /> <br />24, 1986, the City Council authorized the substitution of the <br /> <br />City of San Francisco's bidding procedures for those of Redwood <br /> <br />City, and appointed the City of San Francisco as Redwood City's <br /> <br />agent for the purpose of purchasing such a truck; and <br />WHEREAS, the successful bidder in the San Francisco bidding <br /> <br />(Steeldraulics, Inc.) has been unable to fulfill its commitment <br /> <br />for delivery of fire trucks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Ci ty of Pomona has, <br /> <br />following bidding <br /> <br />procedures similar to those required by Article VII, commencing <br /> <br />wi th Section 2.63 of the Redwood City Code, awarded a bid for <br /> <br />purchase of several such ladder trucks, to Seagrave Fire <br /> <br />Apparatus, Inc., Clintonville, Wisconsin; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pomona is willing to act as the agent <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City for the purpose of purchasing a <br /> <br />ladder truck through the Pomona purchase order for said <br /> <br />equipment; and <br /> <br />10376 <br />
