<br />SWC:djk 02/18/88 (#21) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10721 <br /> <br />FEB 2 2 1988 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR PRUNING OF SYCAMORE TREES <br />ALONG THE ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />the City Manager solicited written bids for the pruning of 100 <br /> <br />sycamore trees along Alameda de las Pulgas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, four bids were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, J. Cox Tree and Landscape Service, Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to J. Cox <br /> <br />Tree and Landscape Service; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of J. Cox Tree and Landscape Service, in the <br /> <br />lump sum of Twelve Thousand Six Hundred and No/IOO Dollars <br /> <br />($12,600.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />January 25, 1988, for pruning of 100 sycamore trees along Alameda <br /> <br />de las Pulgas, is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement - Pruning of Sycamore Trees <br /> <br />along Alameda de las Pulgas", by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and J. Cox Tree and Landscape Service, for the performance <br /> <br />of said work in accordance with the abovementioned bid proposal, <br /> <br />10721 <br />
