<br />SWC:o;k 06/16/88 <br /> <br />(#21) <br /> <br />NO. 1 0 81 2 J UN 2, 0 1988 <br />- - ORIGI <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF CHEMICALS NAL <br />FOR WIGEON WEED; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br />DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the <br /> <br />Redwood City Code, the City Manager has advertised for bids for <br /> <br />the purchase of 2,800 pounds of Aquazine Herbicide Chemical for <br /> <br />widgeon grass at Redwood Shores interior waterways; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three (3) bids were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Delos Company of Lafayette, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to accept the bid of said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Delos Company, Lafayette, California, for <br /> <br />the purchase of 2,800 pounds of Aquazine Herbicide Chemical at <br /> <br />the cost of $14,168.00 plus tax, computed in accordance with said <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated May 18, 1988, for the purchase of 2,800 <br /> <br />pounds of Aquazine Herbicide Chemical for widgeon grass at <br /> <br />Redwood Shores interior waterways is hereby accepted; said bidder <br /> <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br /> <br />for said 2,800 pounds of Aquazine Herbicide Chemical; and all <br /> <br />other bids are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents on behalf of the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />10812 <br />
