<br />DAS:mma ll/2l/88 (#23/047) <br /> <br />NOV 2 81988 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1 0938. <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT NO. l-64 AND CAMP DRESSER & MCKEE, INC., FOR <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE REDWOOD <br />SHORES LAGOON DISCHARGE FACILITY, AND FOR TERMINATING <br />THAT EXISTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN REDWOOD CITY GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64 AND CAMP DRESSER & MCKEE, <br />INC., APPROVED BY CITY RESOLUTION NO. 9576 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by adopting Resolution No. 9576 the City Council <br /> <br />acting for and on behalf of the Redwood City General Improvement <br /> <br />District No. 1-64 authorized the execution of an agreement with <br /> <br />Camp, Dresser & McKee, Inc. for engineering work for the lagoon <br /> <br />discharge facility at Redwood Shores ("Lagoon Facility"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the scope of work for said agreement included study <br /> <br />of the Lagoon Facility, design of a pump station and desing of <br /> <br />improvements to Belmont Channel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Camp, Dresser & McKee, Inc. concluded after its study <br /> <br />work under said agreement that construction of a pump station and <br /> <br />associated improvements to the Belmont Channel were unnecessary <br /> <br />but that certain improvements will be necessary to maintain good <br /> <br />water quality at the Lagoon Facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64 <br /> <br />requires engineering services in connection with said necessary <br /> <br />improvements at the Lagoon Facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc., Inc., has represented to the <br /> <br />District that it is experienced and qualified to perform the <br /> <br />abovementioned services as further described in the proposed <br /> <br />10938 <br />
