<br />DES: d -"- 0 2 / 2 7 / 8 9 (033/24) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 1 098--8 Of\iundd_FEB 27 1989 <br /> <br />RESQLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF CERTAIN <br />CITY-OWNED SURPLUS PROPERTY AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY PERTAINING THERETO <br /> <br />(ARTIFICIAL TURFGRASS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10597 adopted January 9, <br /> <br />1989, this Council declared certain City-owned property surplus, <br /> <br />to wit: 47,300 square feet, more or less, of synthetic turfgrass <br /> <br />located <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />Red <br /> <br />Morton <br /> <br />Community <br /> <br />Park, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />authorized <br /> <br />advertisement for sealed bids for sale thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, three bids have <br /> <br />been received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has, upon further consideration, <br /> <br />determined that sale of said surplus property in the manner <br /> <br />originally contemplated is not in the best interest of the City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this Council desires to <br /> <br />exercise its reserved right to reject all bids and to pursue <br /> <br />other methods of disposing of said property; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />All bids received in response to advertisement for bid made <br /> <br />pursuant to Resolution No. 10597, adopted January 9, 1989, for <br /> <br />the purchase of 47,300 square feet, more or less, of synthetic <br /> <br />turfgrass are, and each of them hereby is, rejected, and the City <br />Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to each bidder <br /> <br />the bid security furnished by said bidders in accordance with the <br /> <br />Instructions to Bidders for said purchase. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10988 <br /> <br />* <br />
