<br />DES:d7" 06/15/89 (063/24) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11073 <br /> <br />UI(iGINAL <br />JUN 1 91989 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BID FOR CONTRACT FOR THE <br />MIDDLEFIELD ROAD CULVERT AND STREET RECONSTRUCTION <br />PROJECT, DIRECTING RETURN OF BID SECURITY PERTAINING <br />THERETO, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING READVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11043 adopted May 22, <br /> <br />1989, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the contract for the <br /> <br />Middlefield Road Culvert and Street Reconstruction Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, one bid was <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has concluded that it is in the public <br /> <br />interest to reject said bid and to authorize and direct the <br /> <br />readvertisement for bids for said project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid received pursuant to advertisement for bids for <br /> <br />the Middlefield Road Culvert and Street Reconstruction Project is <br /> <br />hereby rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to return to said bidder the bid security furnished with <br />its bid. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />readvertise for bids for the Middlefield Road Culvert and Street <br /> <br />Reconstruction Project. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
