<br />CES:mmg ~7/20/89 (#25/040) <br />iJUl 24 l8S9 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N Q. l-l-084 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR DEMOLITION OF IMPROVEMENTS <br />FOR THE REDWOOD CITY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11017, adopted April 17, <br /> <br />1989, the City Clerk called for bids for construction of the <br /> <br />Demolition of Improvements for the Redwood City Sewage Treatment <br /> <br />Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, six bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ferma Corporation, Mountain View, California is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to Ferma Corporation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Ferma Corporation in the sum of Two Hundred <br /> <br />Twenty-seven Thousand and No/I00 Dollars ($227,000.00), for all <br /> <br />of said construction work, computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated May 16, 1988, is hereby found and declared to be <br /> <br />the lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />entitled <br /> <br />"Agreement <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Demolition <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Improvements for the Redwood City Sewage Treatment Plant" (form <br /> <br />dated 07/20/89), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />Ferma Corporation for the performance of said work in accordance <br />
