<br />CES:mmg 07/27/89 (#25/044) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />11103 <br /> <br />AUG 071989 <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BID FOR CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF <br />SELECTED MATERIALS (SAND, AGGREGATE, PEA GRAVEL AND <br />FINES) FOR 1989-90 FISCAL YEAR, DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br />SECURITY PERTAINING THERETO, AND AUTHORIZING AND <br />DIRECTING READVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11075 adopted June 26, <br /> <br />1989, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the purchase of <br /> <br />selected materials (sand, aggregate, pea gravel and fines) for <br /> <br />fiscal year 1989-90; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, one bid was <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has concluded that it is in the public <br /> <br />interest to reject said bid and to authorize and direct the <br /> <br />readvertisement for bids for said project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid received pursuant to advertisement for bids <br /> <br />authorized by Resolution No. 11075, adopted June 26, 1989 for <br /> <br />purchase of selected materials (sand, aggregate, pea gravel and <br /> <br />fines) is hereby rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and directed to return to said bidder the bid security <br /> <br />furnished with its bid. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />readvertise for bids for the Selected Materials (Sand, Aggregate, <br />Pea Gravel and Fines) for fiscal year 1989-90. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
