<br />DES:mmg OP'9/89 (#25/055) <br /> <br />AUG 1 4 1989 <br /> <br />OHIGl NAL <br /> <br />11107 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR TWO (2) USED VEHICLES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Redwood City Code <br /> <br />Section 2.76 this Council has, by motion, <br /> <br />suspended the <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII ("Purchasing") of said Code in <br /> <br />connection with the acquisition of two (2) used passenger <br /> <br />vehicles required for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, solicitation of informal bids has resulted in an <br /> <br />offer from Hertz Car Sales Company, which offer represents the <br /> <br />lowest offer for vehicles meeting the City's requirements; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The offer to sell one (1) 1988 Toyota vehicle and one <br /> <br />(1) 1988 Ford vehicle for the amounts of Ten Thousand Seven <br /> <br />Hundred and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($10,700.00) <br /> <br />and Ten Thousand <br /> <br />Fifty-eight and No/100 Dollars ($10,058.00), respectively, is <br /> <br />hereby accepted. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into such sales agreements, purchase orders, or other <br /> <br />documents appropriate or necessary (in form approved by the City <br /> <br />Attorney) to complete the acquisition of said vehicles. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
