<br />SEP 1 1 1989 <br /> <br />R I ~ Q 1 .\1 I 1 Q N. <br /> <br />11140 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH <br />MIDPENINSULA CITIZENS FOR FAIR HOUSING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing is presently engaged in <br />the operation of a Fair Housing Counseling Program and desires to conduct a fair <br />housing counseling program for residents of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing has requested financial <br />assistance in order to conduct such a program for residents of the City during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1989, and ending June 30, 1990; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to allocate to Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing the sum of Twenty <br />Four Thousand Three Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($24,300.00) from its Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an <br />agreement between the City of Redwood City and Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair <br />Housing, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8/28/89), by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing, a copy of which <br /> <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference <br /> <br />is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br /> <br />Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
