I 1 Q N. <br /> <br />11141 <br /> <br />SEP 1 1 1989 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH <br />TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE COUNCIL, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. is presently engaged <br />in the operation of a Handiperson Program and desires to conduct a handiperson <br />program for residents of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. has requested <br />financial assistance in order to conduct such a program for residents of the <br />City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1989, and ending June 30, 1990; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to allocate to Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. the sum of Thirty <br />Thousand Five Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($30,500.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an <br />agreement between the City of Redwood City and Target Education Welfare Council, <br />Inc., and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8/28/89), by and between the City of <br />Redwood City and Targ.et Education Welfare Council, Inc., a copy of which <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference <br />is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf <br />of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
