7/26/99 ORIGIN A L ORDINANCE NO. 2168 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6.51, 6.54, 6.55, 6.56, and 6.57 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FREQUENCY, SIGNS, VIOLATIONS, EXEMPTIONS, AND PENALTIES REGARDING GARAGE SALES AND DELETING SECTIONS 6.52, 6.53, AND 6.58 OF SAID CODE RELATING TO PERMIT APPLICATIONS, PERMIT ISSUANCE AND EXEMPTIONS, RESPECTIVELY, REGARDING SUCH SALES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section i. Section 6.51 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced by the following: "Section 6.51. FREQUENCY AND DURATION OF GARAGE SALES: A maximum of two (2) garage sales per calendar year may be held at the same location. Garage sales may be conducted for a maximum of three (3) consecutive days on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays." Section 2. Section 6.52 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby deleted in its entirety. Section 3. Section 6.53 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby deleted in its entirety. Section 4. Section 6.54 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced by the following: "Section 6.54. SIGNS: Garage sale signs may be displayed only on the day preceding a garage sale and on the days that the garage sale is held and shall be removed at the conclusion of the garage sale. Signs shall be in compliance with Division 8 of Chapter 3 of this Code." Section 5. Section 6.55 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced by the following: "Section 6.55. UNLAWFUL ACTS: It shall be unlawful for any person to promote, advertise or conduct any garage sale in violation of the provisions of this Article." Section 6.
