<br /> CGM:mf 10/19/81 <br /> ORJGINAl <br /> ORDINANCE 1855 <br /> FE8 1 1982 <br /> --------- - - <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.44 OF CHAPTER 20 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO <br />PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT FOR EMERALD HILL ROAD <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.44 of Chapter 20 of the Code of the <br />city of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 20.44 It is hereby determined upon the <br />basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that <br />the speed permitted by state law upon the following streets <br />is less than is necessary for safe operation of vehicles <br />thereon by reason of the designation and sign posting of <br />the streets as through highways or by reason of widely <br />spaced intersections, and it is hereby declared that the <br />prima facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth <br />on those streets or parts of streets herein designated <br />when signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br /> Name of Street or Declared Prima <br /> Portion Affected Facie Speed Limit <br /> " (1) Alameda de Las Pulgas, between <br /> Brewster Avenue and northerly <br /> city limits 30 MPH <br /> " (2) Alameda de las Pulgas, between <br /> Woodside Road and Jefferson Avenue 30 MPH <br /> " (3) Arguello Street, between Broadway <br /> and "E" Street 30 MPH <br /> " (4) Bay Road, between Woodside Road <br /> and Florence Street 30 M.PH <br /> " (5) Brewster Avenue, between Upland <br /> Road and Main Street 30 MPH <br /> " (6) Bridge Parkway, between Marine World <br /> Parkway and peninsula Parkway 35 MPH <br /> " (7) Broadway, between Woodside Road <br /> and Douglas Avenue 30 MPH <br /> " (8) Broadway, between Woodside Road and <br /> Fifth Avenue 30 MPH <br /> 1 85·5 <br /> _._,.~- <br />
