<br /> DCB:sh 5/9/85 <br /> ORIGI NAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1912 <br /> JUN 3 J985 <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 8A.2 AND 8A.9 AND ADDING <br />SECTIONS 8A.2 (d) AND 8A.2(e) TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO BINGO GAMES <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION l. Section 8A.2 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 8A.2 Definitions. For purposes of this <br />chapter, the following words shall have the meanings <br />respectively ascribed to them in this section: <br /> " (a) Bingo Game: "Bingo game" means a game of chance <br />in which a prize or prizes are awarded on the basis of a <br />designated alignment of numbers or symbols on a card which <br />conforms to numbers or symbols selected at random. <br /> " (b) Bingo Session: "Bingo session" means a single <br />gathering or occasion at which a series of successive bingo <br />games are played; provided that the duration of a session <br />shall not exceed six (6 ) consecutive hours. <br /> " (c) Nonprofit Organization: "Nonprofit organization" <br />means those organizations exempted from payment of the bank <br />and corporation tax by sections 23701 (a) , 23701 (b) , <br />23701 (e) , 23701(f) and 23701 (1) of the California Revenue <br />and Taxation Code, mobilehome park associations, and senior <br />citizen organizations. <br /> " (d) Premise: "Premise" means any room, hall, street <br />address, enclosure, or area in which bingo is played. <br /> 1912 <br /> _..~_..- <br />
