o R DIN A N C E N O. 1ยท94~ --------- ~ ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2.80 TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF OTHER PUBLIC AGENCIES TO PURCHASE MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR THE CITY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2.80 is hereby added to Chapter 2 of the Redwood City Code, as follows: "Section 2.80. Notwithstanding any other provision in this article, the city may request the California State Department of General Services or any local agency as defined by section 54201 of the California Government Code

Section 2.80 is hereby added to Chapter 2 of the <br />Redwood City Code, as follows: <br /> "Section 2.80. Notwithstanding any other provision in <br />this article, the city may request the California State <br />Department of General Services or any local agency as <br />defined by section 54201 of the California Government Code <br />to purchase materials, equipment, or supplies, other than <br />printed materials, on behalf of the city provided that: (i) <br />such purchases are made under competitive bidding <br />requirements of said Department of General Services or said <br />local agency substantially equivalent to those of the city; <br />(ii) such purchases conform to the specifications therefor <br />of the city; (iii) the estimated price of any such purchase <br />is lower than that estimated for such purchase if made <br />directly by the city pursuant to the competitive bidding <br />requirements of this article; and (iv) such estimated price <br />exceeds $500.00." <br />SECTION 2.
