DES:djk '~4/11/96 (040/27) <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> 5/6/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12743 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE SERVICES - <br /> RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts softball leagues <br />as part of its recreational program for the benefit of the <br />citizens of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the operation of such softball leagues requires <br />that umpires be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at <br />such softball games; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Peninsula Sports Officials Association has <br />represented to the City that it has the personnel qualified to <br />perform the aforementioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an <br />agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the <br />Peninsula Sports Officials Association for said association to <br />furnish City with the aforesaid skills and services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OR REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Personal <br />Services", by and between the City of Redwood City and the <br /> <br />Peninsula Sports Officials Association, a copy of which agreement <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br />reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby <br /> <br /> <br />
