0 R I G I N A L DES:dj~ 03/28/96 (088/41) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12727 4/15/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF TWO (2) <br /> MOTORCYCLES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br />solicited for the purchase of two (2) motorcycles for the Police <br />Department in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three bids were <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hayward Kawasaki Yamaha of Hayward, California is <br />the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to accept the bid thereof; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Hayward Kawasaki Yamaha for the sale of <br />two (2) police motorcycles to the City of Redwood City in the <br />amount of Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-six and 28/100 <br />Dollars ($16,746.28) computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated January 25, 1996, which bid is on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for <br />the full particulars thereof, is hereby accepted, and said bidder <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />for the sale of said motorcycles to the City. <br /> <br /> 2. Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br />Hayward Kawasaki Yamaha is, and each of them are, hereby waived. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City all <br />appropriate and necessary documents (in form approved by the City <br />Attorney) to effectuate the purchase approved hereby. <br /> <br /> <br />
