DES:d~" 03/26/96 (086/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 4/15/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12723 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE JAMES AVENUE <br /> WATERMAIN/SEWERMAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br /> RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12706, adopted February <br />26, 1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the James Avenue <br />Watermain/Sewermain Replacement Project, Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, eleven bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Shaw Pipeline, Inc. of San Francisco, California, <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br />desire of this Council to accept said bid of Shaw Pipeline, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Shaw Pipeline, Inc., in the amount of Five <br />Hundred Forty-eight Thousand Six Hundred and No/100 Dollars <br />($548,600.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br />dated March 20, 1996, for the James Avenue Watermain/Sewermain <br />Replacement Project, is hereby accepted, and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
