DES:d~'~ 03/26/96 (085/41) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 4/15/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12722 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR EDGEWOOD AND GLENLOCH PUMP <br /> STATIONS STAND-BY POWER PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12705, adopted February <br />26, 1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Edgewood and <br />Glenloch Pump Stations Stand-by Power Project, Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of <br /> <br />S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc., in the <br />amount of One Hundred Forty-three Thousand Three Hundred Fifty- <br />one and No/100 Dollars ($143,351.00), computed in accordance with <br />said bidder's proposal dated March 20, 1996, for the Edgewood and <br />Glenloch Pump Stations Stand-by Power Project, is hereby <br />accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
