01/07/2008 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 14833 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE REDWOOD CITY ENGINEERING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 CAPITOL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO INCLUDE GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $64,000 FOR THE AB1546 COUNTYWIDE TRAFFIC CONGESTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT WHEREAS, during the course of a fiscal year, the City Council may take actions that change or modify the City's existing and approved budgets; and WHEREAS, grants are received during the course of the fiscal year which were not anticipated when the City's budgets were first approved; and WHEREAS, the Engineering Department was awarded $64,000 from the Countywide Traffic Congestion Management - Intelligent Transportation System (lilTS") program for ITS projects as part of the AB 1546 Countywide Traffic Management Program; and WHEREAS, four different projects will receive grant funds to replace outdated traffic signal controller equipment; and WHEREAS, the City will be reimbursed for the actual construction cost of each project up to the awarded amount of $64,000.00 upon completion of the project; and WHEREAS, local matching funds is not required for this grant however, any construction costs exceeding the total grant of $64,000.00 must be funded by the City; and WHEREAS, if additional funding is necessary, the funding is available from the Gas Tax Construction Fund, Traffic Signal Replacement Program which has a balance of $293,301.00 as of November 2007; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AGENCY BOARD OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOllOWS: 1. The Finance Director shall amend the Fiscal Year 2007/08 Capitol Improvement Budget to include the grant funds from the Countywide Traffic Congestion Management- Intelligent Transportation System (lilTS") program in the amount of $64,000.00 for ITS projects as part of the AB 1546 Countywide Traffic Management Program. * * * ATTY/RESO/RESO.1780 010308 14833 Muff # 304
