DES:dj~ 03/01/96 (082/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 3/25/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I 0 N N O. 12713 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE SEWAGE PUMP STATIONS <br /> REHABILITATION AND REPLACEMENT PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br /> RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12678, adopted January <br />8, 1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Sewage Pump <br />Stations Rehabilitation and Replacement Program, Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of <br /> <br />S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc., in the <br />amount of Eight Hundred Sixty-six Thousand Forty and No/100 <br />Dollars ($866,040.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated February 7, 1996, for the Sewage Pump Stations <br />Rehabilitation and Replacement Program, is hereby accepted, and <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
