DES:dj~ 02/08/96 (077/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L ~/26/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12709 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE BROADWAY CLOCK TOWER <br /> AND PLAZA - HAMILTON STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12431, adopted March 13, <br />1995, the City Clerk advertised for bids Broadway Clock Tower and <br />Plaza - Hamilton Street Improvements Project, Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Gonsalves & Stronck/Archer, a joint venture of San <br />Carlos, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is <br />the intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of <br /> <br />Gonsalves & Stronck/Archer; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Gonsalves & Stronck/Archer, in the amount of <br />Seven Hundred Three Thousand Four Hundred Nineteen and No/100 <br />Dollars ($703,419.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated February 7, 1996, for the Broadway Clock Tower and <br />Plaza Hamilton Street Improvements, is hereby accepted, and <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
