0 R I G I N A L 11/27/95 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12643 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE <br /> OF LOCAL CONDITIONS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, <br /> WELFARE, AND NECESSITY, REQUIRE CHANGES OR <br /> MODIFICATION TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE IV, V, <br /> VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 AND OF THE CODE OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, <br /> AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br /> REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDING AND <br /> STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE <br /> UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; THE UNIFORM <br /> BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 EDITION"; THE UNIFORM <br /> HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM <br /> MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM <br /> PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL <br /> ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION," MODIFIED HEREIN AND <br /> MADE APPLICABLE TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br />Government Code, and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br />this Council proposes to adopt by reference 'q'he Uniform Building Code, 1994 <br />Edition, the Uniform Building Security Code, 1994 Edition, the Uniform Housing <br />Code, 1994 Edition, the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1994 Edition, the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition, and the National Electrical Code, 1993 Edition" <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "Code"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or modifications are <br />proposed to be made to the substantive provisions of said Code, which changes <br />or modifications are reasonably necessary due to local conditions; and <br /> <br /> <br />
