DES:djk 71/06/95 (011/34) <br /> <br />- ~R I G I N A L 11~7/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12639 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR BASKETBALL OFFICIATING SERVICES (UMPIRE <br /> SERVICES - RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts basketball <br /> leagues as part of its recreational program for the benefit of <br /> the citizens of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the operation of such basketball leagues requires <br /> that umpires be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at <br /> such basketball games; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Peninsula Sports Officials Association has <br /> represented to the City that it has the personnel qualified to <br /> perform the aforementioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this <br /> Council an agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> the Peninsula Sports Officials Association for said association <br /> to furnish City with the aforesaid skills and services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OR REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Basketball <br /> Officiating Services" (form dated 11/06/95), by and between the <br /> City of Redwood City and the Peninsula Sports Officials <br /> Association, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office <br /> of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the <br /> <br /> <br />
