<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RCSD Agreement No. 200708-013 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN THE REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND <br />THE CITY of REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made as of this day of September 13, 2007 by and between the <br />Redwood City School District ("RCSD") and the City of Redwood City, ("CONTRACTOR") to <br />provide services. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOllOWS: <br />1. SERVICES <br /> <br />Upon the terms and conditions set out below, the CONTRACTOR agrees to <br />provide services to address school and student safety on the campuses of <br />Kennedy Middle School and Hoover School, for the RCSD as described below. <br /> <br />A. Scope of Services <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR agrees to provide a School Resource Officer <br />("SRO") for Kennedy Middle School to address safety issues as described <br />below. <br /> <br />1. SRO on site at Kennedy Middle School during 30 weeks of <br />school instruction for 8 hours a week; days of the week and <br />hours will be jointly determined by representatives of the <br />CONTRACTOR and Kennedy Middle School. The SRO will <br />assist the school in patrolling the school perimeter, in mentoring <br />students with attendance issues, and in providing other supports <br />to the school as determined collaboratively between <br />representatives of Kennedy, RCSD and CONTRACTOR. <br />2. Parent workshop to educate and support Kennedy students and <br />parents about the dangers of gang interest and membership. <br />3. Will attend partnership meetings and participate in information <br />sharing, problem-solving, evaluation and data collection <br />process. <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR agrees to provide SRO for Hoover School to <br />address safety issues as described below. <br /> <br />1. SRO on site at Hoover School during 30 weeks of school <br />instruction for 8 hours a week; days of the week and hours will be <br />jointly determined by representatives of the CONTRACTOR and <br />Hoover School. The SRO will assist the school in patrolling the <br />school perimeter, in mentoring students with attendance issues, <br />and in providing other supports to the school as determined <br />collaboratively between representatives of Hoover, RCSD, and <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />2.
