DES:djk '/08/95 (021/38) <br /> DES:djk ~/04/95R <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 11/6/95 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12628 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO FORM THE REDWOOD SHORES <br /> LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1995-1 AND TO <br /> PROVIDE FOR THE USE OF THE ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR THE <br /> LEVY OF BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby determines that the cost and <br /> <br />expense of maintaining and operating the local public <br />improvements hereinafter described have not been adequately <br />financed and provided for and hereby further declares that <br /> <br />proceedings be undertaken pursuant to the provisions of Article <br />XII (commencing with §18.80) of Chapter 18 of the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City, as amended, and the applicable provisions <br />of Chapter 26, part 3, Division 7, of the Streets and Highways <br />Code of the State of California, excepting Sections 5850 to 5853, <br />inclusive, for the formation of a maintenance district to provide <br />therefor, and for the use of the alternative method by which <br />annual assessment levies for the payment of said costs and <br />expenses will be apportioned according to benefits among the <br />several lots or parcels of property within such District. <br /> <br /> 2. This Council hereby further determines and declares <br />that the public interest and convenience require, and it is the <br />intention of this Council to order, the formation of a <br />maintenance District in a portion of the City of Redwood City to <br />be designated, "Redwood Shores Landscape Maintenance District No. <br />1995-1" (the "District") by which name it shall be designated in <br />all subsequent proceedings, including proceedings for the levy <br /> <br /> <br />
