DES:djk 08/21/95 (016/41) <br /> <br /> ~0 R I G I N A L 9/25/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12611 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE HAZARD ELIMINATION <br /> SAFETY PROJECT II - VETERANS BOULEVARD/WALNUT STREET, <br /> CHARTER STREET/MIDDLEFIELD ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br /> MODIFICATION; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br /> SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12492, adopted June 12, <br />1995, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Hazard <br />Elimination Safety Project II - Veterans Boulevard/Walnut Street, <br />Charter Street/Middlefield Road Traffic Signal Modification, <br />Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Richard A. Heaps Electrical Contractor, Inc. of <br />Sacramento, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it <br />is the intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid ef <br /> <br />Richard A. Heaps Electrical Contractor, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Richard A. Heaps Electrical Contractor, <br />Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-one Thousand Four <br />Hundred Fifty-seven and No/100 Dollars ($161,457.00), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated July 12, 1995, for <br />the Hazard Elimination Safety Project II Veterans Boulevard/ <br />Walnut Street, Charter Street/Middlefield Road Traffic Signal <br />Modification, is hereby accepted, and said bidder is hereby found <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> <br />
