AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020 AND <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD <br />CITY 2020 FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR <br />This AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of the aZD day of'f <br />20*by and between Sequoia Union High School District ("SUHSD") <br />REDWOOD CITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight partners, including City of <br />Redwood City, Redwood City School District, Sequoia Union High School District, San <br />Mateo County Health and San Mateo County Human Service Agency, Sequoia Healthcare <br />District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University, <br />Kaiser Permanente, and Canada College) and CITY OF REDWOOD ("City") Acting as <br />Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively SUHSD, Redwood City 2020, and City are <br />hereinafter referred to as the "Parties." <br />SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's partial funding for mental health services and <br />mentoring at SUHSD's Sequoia Teen Resource Center in the Amount of Seventeen <br />Thousand Dollars ($17,000). <br />RECITALS <br />A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the <br />delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and <br />North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is <br />made up of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary <br />School District, Sequoia Union High School District, San Mateo County Health and San <br />Mateo County Human Service Agency, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner <br />Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and <br />Canada College to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated <br />approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within <br />the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources <br />to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. <br />B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for <br />services required by Redwood City 2020. <br />C. Redwood City 2020 desires to provide Seventeen Thousand Dollars <br />($17,000) to partially fund mental health services and mentoring at SUHSD's Sequoia Teen <br />Resource Center ("STRC"). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE I - BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES <br />SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund mental health services <br />and mentoring at the STRC for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of Seventeen <br />REV: 01-23-20 RL <br />ATN/AGR.2020.010/Sequoia Teen Resource Center (Page 1 of 4) <br />
