GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES Cal OES ID No: 081-60102 <br />Cal OES 130 04/27/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15833 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION TO BE FILED WITH THE <br />CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING CERTAIN FEDERAL FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE AND/OR STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE <br />WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020, the City Council ("City Council") of the City of <br />Redwood City ("City") adopted Resolution No. 15827 declaring a local emergency ("the <br />Emergency Declaration") caused by the Novel Coronavirus ("COVID-19"); and <br />WHEREAS, among other things, the Emergency Declaration authorized the City's <br />Director of Emergency Services to execute for and on behalf of the City any agreement <br />or application for, and to file an agreement with, the California Governor's Office of <br />Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, in an abundance of caution, and to ensure that City staff is <br />appropriately authorized to obtain State financial assistance, the City Council desires to <br />adopt this resolution, which is based on Form 130 prepared by the California Governor's <br />Office of Emergency Services entitled, "Designation of Applicant's Agent Resolution for <br />Non -State Agencies." <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, as follows: <br />Section 1. The City Manager, or the Financial Services Manager, or the Deputy <br />Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City, <br />a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, this application and <br />to file it with the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of <br />obtaining certain federal financial assistance under Public Law 93-288 as amended by <br />the Robert T.
