DES:djk n~/26/95 (008/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N A n 8/14/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12573 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION <br /> OF FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the <br />Code of the City of Redwood City, the City Manager caused public <br />notice inviting bids to be published for the purchase and <br />installation of furniture and accessories at the Fair Oaks Branch <br />Library; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication two bids were <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Space Designs, Inc. of Mountain View, and The Ross <br />McDonald Company of Livermore, California are the lowest <br />responsible bidders and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to accept the bids thereof; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Space Designs, Inc., in the total amount of <br />Twenty-three Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-seven and 61/100 Dollars <br />($23,297.61), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br />dated July 19, 1995 for the sale of bid items 1 through 13 and 17 <br />through 19 and the bid of The Ross McDonald Company, in the total <br />amount of Eighteen Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-three and No/100 <br />Dollars ($18,493.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated July 18, 1995 for the sale of bid items 14 through <br />16, which bids are on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, <br /> <br /> <br />
