I a I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14148 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH SAN MATEO COUNTY TO PROVIDE CDBG FUNDING <br />TO ASSIST WITH CONSTRUCTION OF AS NORTH COUNTY EMERGENCY <br />HOMELESS SHELTER <br />(NORTH COUNTY WINTER SHELTER) <br />2/26/01 <br />WHEREAS, The County of San Mateo ( "Contractor ") coordinates homeless facilities, <br />programs, and comprehensive support services for homeless individuals who reside in the County, <br />including from the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br />WHEREAS, under 24CFR Part 570.201(c) of the federal rules and regulations of the <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Entitlement Cities may provide grant <br />assistance for the construction of a shelter for the homeless, to be carried out by another public entity; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has requested financial assistance in order to construct <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor, the sum of one hundred Three Thousand Four Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($103,400) <br />from its CDBG grant for the foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and reviewed by, <br />this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said agreement and <br />authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />Reso -1086 1 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />FXS:djk <br />02/14/01 <br />
