06/22/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15860 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2020 - JUNE 30, 2021 <br />AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF <br />ALL SUMS SET FORTH IN SAID BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the City <br />Manager has submitted to the Council of Redwood City a proposed annual budget for <br />Fiscal Year July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter, after duly noticed public hearing, the Council <br />has approved the budget and it has been certified as the Budget of the City for Fiscal <br />Year 2020-21; and <br />WHERAS, it is the intention of the Council of Redwood City to adopt the <br />certified copy of the Budget presently on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Adoption of Budget. The Budget for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2020 - <br />June 30, 2021, approved by the Council and certified by the City Clerk and City <br />Manager, presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, is adopted. The Budget is <br />contained in the document entitled "Recommended Budget FY 2020-21." <br />SECTION 2. Appropriations. The amounts designated for subprograms in the <br />Budget document's "Detailed Operating Expenditure Schedule" are appropriated to each <br />designated subprogram (excepting the Successor Agency subprogram which is being <br />adopted and appropriated by separate action of the City Council acting in its capacity as <br />the Successor Agency to the dissolved Redwood City Redevelopment Agency) and the <br />amounts designated for capital projects listed in the Budget document's "Capital <br />Improvement Program" section are appropriated. The amounts designated for the debt <br />service payments listed in the document's "City Debt" section and payments listed for <br />assessment districts debt listed in the document's "Fiduciary Funds" section are <br />appropriated (except those for the Successor Agency's debt which will be adopted and <br />appropriated by a separate action of the Successor Agency).The Beginning Balance in <br />the Budget document's "Analysis of Budget by Fund" and the Revenue Estimates for <br />2020-21 in the Budget document's "Financial Summaries", including those for the <br />Redwood City Public Financing Authority and assessment and improvement districts but <br />excepting those for the Successor Agency, are appropriated. <br />ATTY/RESO.0050/CC RESO BUDGET FINAL ADOPTION FY 20-21 <br />REV: -6-15-2020 EI <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESO.
